Electrical contractor for substations, MV networks and power distribution

Since 2009 Peydezh Mavi has built distribution substations, installed transformers and laid medium-voltage cables for commercial, residential, industrial and utility projects, in Iran and in neighbouring countries.

Power infrastructure from the grid to your main switchboard

Our work starts where the utility network ends and finishes at the low-voltage main switchboard of your project. We do not do wiring inside buildings. We design, supply and build the infrastructure that brings power to a site: distribution substations, transformers, medium- and low-voltage cable networks, overhead lines and MV/LV switchgear.

Peydezh Mavi holds a contractor qualification in the Power discipline from Iran’s Plan and Budget Organization, the government body that qualifies contractors for public works. More than 150 engineers and technicians work on our projects, and we have completed over 140 projects at voltage levels up to 63 kV.

Alongside our work in Iran, we take on projects in Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, and we consider projects in other countries of the region. Equipment and testing follow IEC standards, and every design is prepared to the technical rules of the local utility.

What we do

Substation construction and equipping

Design, supply and construction of indoor, outdoor and compact distribution substations, including MV/LV switchgear, earthing and protection.

Transformer installation

Selection, installation, testing and replacement of oil-immersed and dry-type distribution transformers.

MV and LV cable installation

Underground and tray cable networks, trenching, terminations and joints, and insulation testing before energisation.

Overhead lines and pole installation

Concrete and steel poles, overhead conductors and aerial bundled cable for distribution networks.

Switchgear and panel installation

Installation and commissioning of MV switchgear, RMUs, LV main distribution boards and capacitor banks.

Street lighting maintenance

Preventive and corrective maintenance of public and private lighting networks, including LED retrofits.

Distribution network maintenance

Planned maintenance of medium- and low-voltage networks, substations and transformers for utilities and private owners.

Engineering and consulting

Load studies, substation and network design, and technical support for large projects from concept to handover.

Grid connection and power supply

Load assessment, utility applications and the works needed to bring a new or expanded supply to a project.

How a project runs

  1. Site survey and load assessmentWe visit the site, review the existing network and calculate the real demand of the project.
  2. Design and utility approvalSingle-line diagrams, substation layout and cable routes are prepared and submitted for the utility’s approval.
  3. ProcurementTransformers, switchgear, cables and fittings are supplied to the approved specification.
  4. ConstructionSubstation, cabling, poles and switchgear are built by our own crews under the utility’s supervision.
  5. Testing and energisationEquipment tests, final inspection and connection to the grid with the utility’s representative.
  6. MaintenanceIf required, we take over operation and maintenance of the substation and network after handover.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work outside Iran?
Yes. We take on projects in Iraq, the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, and we consider projects in other countries of the region. Send us the project location and scope and we will reply with the next steps.
What voltage levels do you work with?
Distribution networks and substations up to 63 kV, including the medium-voltage levels used by national grids in the region.
Do you do electrical wiring inside buildings?
No. Our scope is the outdoor and substation side: from the utility network to the project’s main low-voltage switchboard.
Which standards do you follow?
IEC standards for equipment and testing, together with the technical requirements of the local distribution utility.
What do you need to prepare a quotation?
The project location, the required load in kW or kVA, the site plan and any drawings or utility documents you already have.

Planning a power supply for a new project?

Send us the location and required load, and our engineers will review the project and propose a solution.
